Citizens awareness walk campaign

Lok Satta Party is proud to announce that public activist and Lok Satta Party’s Tamil Nadu state executive committee member Elizabeth Seshadri will lead the ‘Citizens walk campaign’ demanding Good governance from tomorrow. This will be inagurated by Mr. Devendra Oza, Former IAS officer, and Mr. S.M. Arasu, State President of the Anti-Corruption Movement.
The walk has been named in Tamil as ‘Nadappom.. Nallaatchi kettu‘ which translates to ‘Lets walk to demand Good governance’. The walk is aimed at creating awareness to citizens on the need for a ‘Right to Public Services Act’ to deal with corruption in everyday access to services; and the need for an independent and strong Lok Ayukta to deal with corruption at higher levels.
The walk will begin at 9 AM from Gandhi statue in the Marina beach after paying respects to the father of the nation. The campaign will start by 9 AM in the morning and will end by 7 PM in the evening (with a break between 1 PM to 4 PM).
December 19 – Marina Gandhi statue towards Santhome and Luz, back to Cathedral road, sufidar
December 20 – Mylapore to Adyar
December 21 – Adyar to Anna University
December 22 – Anna university to Velachery
December 23 – Velachery to Madipakkam
December 24 – Madipakkam to Medavakkam
The party requests general public and social activists to participate in large numbers in this campaign.
