Loksatta party conveys deep condolences over Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s demise – Appealing to shut down liquor shops tomorrow

As part of Tamil Nadu government’s official observance of the demise of former President of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Lok Satta Party urges the government to shutdown the TASMAC outlets throughout the state tomorrow, as a mark respect to the departed leader.
The demise of Dr. Kalam, who lives in the hearts of all the Indians forever, is an irretrievable loss to the nation. He was a living representation of the ideals one should follow to be the perfect citizen of our country. He spent his life till his last breath, imparting his ideals and sharing his vision with the students of this country. His life and ideals made every Indian to wonder if one could get such a leader in the era of dirty politics. Dr. Kalam was a multi-faceted personality, where he was a scientist who pushed the boundaries of scientific field in our country, a teacher who kindled inquisitiveness in students’ minds, a leader who taught the young minds to think, dream, pursue and arise as phoenix birds.
It is our solemn duty to make his dreams and vision to see the light of the day. Every Indian should take upon oneself to make his dreams like India 2020, Economically empowered India, clean and safe nuclear power rich nation, constructive use of nuclear power, a new dawn in the Indian Politics which would give way for progress and self-sufficiency, come into practice.
As a way of paying tribute to this great leader of our nation, Tamilnadu Government has announced tomorrow as a public holiday. In addition to this, the government will observe condolences for a period of one week by suspending all the government events and festivities. On top of that, as a way of showing true respect to our dear leader, Lok Satta Party appeals to the Tamilnadu Government to shutdown all the TASMAC outlets throughout the state tomorrow, on the day of his last rites.
