Jagadheeswaran photoJagadheeswaran.D, born in Pudukkottai, a B.E(Mechanical) Engineer graduated from Thiagarajar College of Engineering and settled in Chennai for the past 8 years. His ideology: from the day a child comes into the world till death, it is politics that shapes one s life. But not many are passionate about politics because of the way it exists. Ignoring anything does not give you results and fighting against that will yield the results probably not for me but for the generations to come: Jagadheeswaran realized this towards the end of his college days, planned his life in such a way that he would settle his family and then become a politician to bring the CHANGE. Worked with TCS, CTS for the past 8 yrs, started couple of NGO’s helping economically downtrodden people, was in US for 3 yrs during his employment met US Politicians to learn the way it’s been run there, came back to India, got married to a girl who understood his passion, got associated with Lok Satta where he met other like-minded, passionate persons and a great leader Dr.JP to work with and quit his job. Currently he focuses all his time on bearing the responsibilities of President of the Lok Satta TN Unit. He contested for Chennai Mayor in the 2011 elections.

Photo of Senthil ArumugamSenthil Arumugam, MCA by training, worked for 8 years as a software professional, even while being actively involved in Rural development Panchayat Empowerment activities in villages of Coimbatore district for 4 years. With the encouragement of his IT employed wife, he quit a lucrative IT career in 2005 to get into full time social activism. He joined with Dr.M.S.Udayamurthy’s Makkal Sakthi Eiyakkam, a movement for socio-political reforms. He has dedicated his life for upliftment of the underprivileged and wants to be the voice of voiceless. He is passionate about Education reforms and Rigorous Liquor control campaigns.

elizabeth_seshadriElizabeth Seshadri, BA LLB (Hons), currently Partner @ lyer &Thomas, Law Firm. Elizabeth did her law from the National Law School in Bangalore, and has been involved in Legal System Reform work through FIAT-Legal. She works on advocacy of public issues, particularly Right to health, through the Centre for Law and Society. She is an Officer of the Professional Ethics Committee of the International Bar Association and Chair of the Client Protection Committee. She is a member of the Young Indians wing of the CII, and collaborates with various NGOs to provide Legal support. She campaigned for the 2011 Corporation elections for the LSP supported candidate from Kottivakkarn.


Photo of Ashok RajendranAshok Rajendran, B.E (Comp. Science), currently working as Software Engineer at Cisco Systems Pvt Ltd. In school when other students said they want to become engineers and doctors he declared, “I want to become the winner of as many hearts as possible”. Such was his desire to work for the larger good and passion for the country even at that young age. After doing engineering at Thiagarajar College. Madurai and joining work, he got involved with various NGOs like Individual Volunteers Association, Janaagraha, AID India. On realizing the dire straits of governance in the country he joined an anticorruption NGO called 5thpillar. He got introduced to Lok Satta Party and contested in 2011 assembly elections from Mylapore constituency.

Photo of Siva ElangoSiva Elango is from Tiruvaarur and he is a graduate in M.A (Political Science) & M.A (Journalism & Mass Communication). Worked as a journalist in Dinamani and News Editor in All India Radio. Author of “Revenue Administration” book and a book on RTI which has so far sold 40,000 copies. Quit his job to become a Social activist, joined Makkal Sakthi Iyakkam and he is currently the Organisations secretary of LSP Tamilnadu unit.

Mahesh KumarMahesh Kumar S T, BE, Software Engineer at Symantec. Mahesh completed his UG in Madras Institute of Technology. Anna University. He was President of the Rotaract Club of MIT, and founded a Student Association ‘Web Team of MIT”. He was awarded the ‘Best Student for Social Attainment in MIT on 2009. Coordinated a team, helping for scholarship and education in an orphanage for 1 year. Convinced that there is no substitute to politics in development of a nation, and seeing Lok Satta as the only platform that welcomed the youth who did not come from political families,he joined LSP.

Secretary — Technical

Palani Ramadass, MCA, MBA. Founder- Daspal Infotech Private Limited. Daspal Consultancy (IT recruitment). Born into an agricultural family in village Ulagapuram, 18kms from Tindivanam. Palani was sent to the city to study at the age of 3 by his father who found agriculture not yielding and was determined that his kids should get a good education. He refused to pay a Rs. 100 bribe to the Thasildhar to get his MBC certificate, and settled for a BC certificate instead. He did his UG at Government College Karaikal, Pondicherry, where he was the representative of all 9 hostels running under the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department. He worked actively to keep hostel kids away from alcohol. He did his PG at Bharathidasan University, where he refused a job offer from a top MNC with the belief that his destiny was entrepreneurship and job-creation. He also works with NGOs that provide medical support to the needy. He is passionate about agricultural reforms and pro farmer policies.

Secretary — Activities

C.Dinakaran Bose, MA (Pub. Administration)Entrepreneur- pharmaceutical business. Born into a patriotic family, Bose was so named by his father who was a Nethaji follower. His brother, named Birla Bose, was a popular police officer in Chennai who kept Rowdy activities in check in Otteri, Pulianthope and Royapuram. Another brother was an Army officer and his uncle was a High Court Judge. Thus fed on patriotism, it was no wonder that Bose refused to join the conventional political parties, but jumped at the opportunity of joining Lok Satta.

Secretary — Publications

G.Nandha Kumar, B.E. (Mechanical), currently working as Deputy Manager in an MNC in Chennai. After doing his Engineering from Thiagarajar College, Madurai, he co-founded the NGO ‘Siva Memorial Society’ with his college friends to get sponsorships for heart surgeries of economically weaker patients. He worked with the NOD ‘Change Society’ for various citizens initiatives like Road Safety and Clean City. He joined Lok Satta and worked in the 2011 Assembly and Corporation election campaigns. He brings out the LSP magazine ‘WHISTLE’ every month.

Secretary — Training

Pravin Radhakrishnan is an entrepreneur and CEO of a startup firm, port9 business networks (2011). After a long stint abroad, the love for his motherland brought him back. His zeal to give the people of his country the same comforts and quality of life as that of the countries abroad has led to his plunge into value-based politics. He contested from his home ward in the 2011 Chennai municipal elections and won 228 supporters (around 1% of the voter turnout). His goal is to improve upon the infrastructure and amenities for the IN state. As Secy (Training) he hopes to bring about a paradigm shift in the way people look at politics.

Secretary — Youth Wing

jaiganeshJaiganesh is an entrepreneur and runs a medical shop. After joining IAC in June 2011 he started thinking about nation development. Rooting out corruption alone will not change the country. Political change is the way forward for our nation. So he joined LSP in September and he is preparing himself and TN LSP to be in the race for the next general Elections.With the support of his wife, he is now a full-timer for the party.
